Meet Meghan Covington,
Owner of Mind Body Fitness
Meghan is the proud owner of Mind Body Fitness as well as a NSCA certified personal trainer and RYT200 yoga instructor with over 10 years of experience in the health and fitness industry. Before becoming a trainer, Meghan struggled with negative body image, disordered eating, and anxiety until she discovered the healing power of yoga and exercise. Moving forward, she made it her mission to help others discover their happier, healthier selves. Trekking all over NYC she brought in-home personal training and yoga to clients of all ages and stages. As she fine tuned her mindful approach to fitness, she witnessed clients lives change for the better. Word spread, and her client base grew. In 2011 Meghan decided to build a dream team of like minded fitness trainers to expand on the work she started. Hence, Mind Body Fitness was born.
Meghan has completed certifications through NSCA, Yoga to the People, Om Yoga Center, Yoga Fit, and Laughing Lotus in New York City. Meghan's specialties include Pre/postnatal Yoga, Women's Special Populations, Movement Skills Development for Children, Restorative Yoga, and Holistic Fitness Training.
She also has a BFA in Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University.
In her free time Meghan is busy raising 3 amazing daughters and living the good life with her endlessly supportive husband.
Meet the Mind Body Fitness Trainers
Hutch is a California boy turned New Yorker. He is certified with the American Council on Exercise (personal trainer), Integral Yoga Institute (Hatha & Pranayama Instructor 200hr.), and PRONatal (prenatal/postpartum fitness). Though Hutch has several years of experience teaching Hatha Yoga in a class setting, he believes the connection that can be achieved through private instruction is invaluable. Hutch believes that a healthy fitness program starts at home.
In addition to being an A.C.E. and Oh Baby Fitness certified Personal Trainer, Meredith is a barre & cycling instructor. She is TRX qualified, Yoga Fit Kids certified, as well as a Youth Fitness Specialist. Meredith believes that fitness should be enjoyable and attainable for all. She loves working with mothers and families to help them feel their absolute best.
Kevin Bellinger is an ACE certified trainer with specialities in Corrective Exercise, FMS and Pre/Postnatal. He also holds a BS in Exercise Science and MS in Exercise Physiology. Kevin is an avid believer in building the foundations of movement from the ground up through kinesthetic awareness.
Allison Lewis-Towbes is a NASM certified Personal Trainer and group fitness instructor, She is also an Oh Baby! Pre/Postnatal Trainer. She completed a residency at Physical Focus Personal Training Center in Santa Barbara, CA in 2017 before becoming a NASM-CPT. Allie's background in dance, aerial circus and yoga eventually led her to a career in the fitness industry. She has since dedicated herself to helping clients reach their functional and rehabilitative goals.
A fitness enthusiast from the ripe age of 14 - Gregory was one of the few that loved phys ed. in high school. He has been a NASM certified personal trainer for over 8 years and truly loves and commits to the experience of each session.Specialty certs include Pre/Postnatal Fitness, Women's Fitness, Youth Fitness, Corrective Exercise, and Yoga. With a combination of experience, hands on workshops, perpetual learning, empathy and compassion Gregory can create one-on-one experiences tailored to you.
Sam is an ACE certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and a Pre/Postnatal Annette Lang certified trainer. She is a core instructor with Xtend Barre and teaches Les Mills and HIIT classes in the city. Her background allows her to give clients a well rounded fitness experience based on functional training, endurance, and strength. She is a big advocate of weight training, keeping workouts fresh, and proving that exercise can actually be fun!
Megan is currently a certified A.C.E personal trainer, and Pilates Mat instructor. She is also a specialist in Pre and Post Natal fitness training through PRO Natal. She absolutely loves keeping her clients on their toes, using different styles of training, and incorporating fun equipment to keep things fresh! Outside of one on one training Megan is certified in Barre, Dance Cardio and Youth Fitness.
Emily Pietruszka is a NASM certified personal trainer and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (magna cum laude) in Dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is pre/postnatal certified through PROnatal and is a New York City based professional dancer, specializing in street dance. Emily believes in the power of choice; if we can choose to believe that we have the power to control our own bodies (and therefore minds) the possibilities are endless!
After years of practicing yoga, Jaimie took her first Vinyasa teacher training in 2010. The Vinyasa cert was quickly followed by certifications in Hot Yoga, Barre, Personal Training, Precision Running, main studio sculpt and HIIT training, and most recently completed her Lagree Fitness and Method training in Irvington NY. Jaimie's passion for engaging others in fitness, nutrition, and mental health is a perfect combination to assure her clients a well rounded experience.
